Cinnamon

Age: 9 - 11
Sexuality: unknown
Gender: girl creature
Ethnicity: white american
Height: tall for her age
Build: skinny

Cinnamon is a weird girl who rarely talks and prefers to be outside.

Personality

She likes to watch people from afar, but not engage. Shuts down if you try to make her talk. Hides around strangers, or if she doesn't want to be found, such as behind a couch up against the wall, under the sink cabinet, in closets, etc. She often startles people by hiding in such places and being so quiet when she moves. This is often unintentional, but she sometimes finds amusment in startling people.

A bit unruly and wild. She likes to explore outside, look at rocks and bugs, as well as climb trees. Creeks are nice too. She loves the summer, and hates the winter since she must stay inside and wear warm clothes.

Yeah, shes a biter. (If she feels unsafe).

Story Roles

Magic Apocalypse Story

Cinnamon is the first abandoned werewolf child Mark finds while out as a wolf during the full moon. She is very reclusive and scared at first, but does not run away due to finally having some real shelter and food. She eventually warms up to Mark and Opal (and the few other abandoned werewolf children Mark finds), feeling safe around them, though she does remain very quiet.

After parents of one of the other werewolf kids find said kid and take them home, Cinnamon starts acting weird (more than usual), hiding in tight places more like she did when she was first taken in, and generally more volatile. Although extremely unlikely, she's afraid someone from her family will come and take her back, which she does not want to happen. She does not know how to express this though.

It's heavily implied that she was very neglected by her biological parents, and that they won't be coming around to find her. She came from a large poor family rife with generational abuse.

Relationships

Mark

Portrait of Mark.

Mark is a father/mother figure to Cinnamon, taking care of her. Cinnamon likes and trusts Mark, but finds him to be overbearing at times, since he is a bit of a mother hen and she was much more accustomed to uninvolved parenting. He will insist that she wear warm clothes when going out in the cold, which she of course hates. Standard parent stuff. Mark is naturally very worried when she goes outside and explores, but is unable to stop her and knows that trying to would be extremely distressing for her, so he tries to be okay with it and eventually learns to trust that she will come back and can be alone for a little while.

Mark tries to take care of her the best he can, but is often uncertain and worried, having never been a parent before, and her being an unusual case. She hardly talks, and will have meltdowns if she does not have the freedom she is accustomed to. She's the only werewolf child that ends up staying with Mark, the others are eventually found by their parents.

Love languages

Giving

If she likes you she won't hide from you, she will let you see her. She may even occupy herself in the same room as you (quality time). She may even wordlessly give you a cool rock, leaf, feather, or even toad (gift giving). If she wants you to like her (very rare) or forgive her, she will do some sort of chore for you without prompting (acts of service), she really doesn't know anyway else to apologize. Is not a talker, so she certainly won't be giving any words of affirmation.

Receiving

She doesn't like being engaged with directly a lot, but from people she likes, she enjoys going on a walk in the woods or doing some other wordless activity together, even if its chores. She doesn't really care about gifts unless its a cool rock or coin, which she will put in her collection. Does not like physical touch.

Old art from when I first imagined her, including an old character who was somewhat similar, but did not necessarily morph into her.

Archived Cinnamon art!
faded pencil sketch portrait of a young girl with a bob.

This is Valerie, also a strange young girl with pale staring eyes. She was breifly the youngest sibling to Lazaro and from a wealthier family (unlike Cinnamon who is from a poor family). June 2015

Marker colored illustration of a young girl standing. She has white hair, blue eyes and a blank expression on her face.

Valerie had a similar demeanor, but different design. Cinnamon eventually took her place as the odd girl. Jan 2016

Without color, this Valerie looks a lot like Cinnamon. June 2016

Finally a proper Cinnamon pose! the proportions are a bit off though. Jan 2020

Cinnamon crouched down, poking at something with a stick.

Looking appropriately unkempt. For brief few months I drew werewolves with not only dark claws but also dark sclera. It was a bit too much so I stopped. March 2021
