I took this picture of a cat trying to drink out of my parents pool April 19th 2024, not knowing that I would later take her into my house! My parents neighbor feeds the neighborhood strays, so I figured she was one of them.
Despite my parents neighbor taking care of the strays, this kitty took a liking to my parents house and began following my mom when she was outside. She was Very affectionate (note: preganant cats are more affectionate than usual) - June 3rd
I knew I wanted a cat, and while I really wanted my cousins cat, a sweet mellow round calico who will sit on you and purr away, I sadly could not take her. This stray kitty however took to the indoors very well, so we decided that I would take her to my home. I moved my shoes out of this basket and laid a towel down for her to lay in :3 I named her Creampuff- June 8th
She looks so young and kitteny here. We had no idea she was pregnant yet.

Creampuff makes a lot of biscuits, especially on bunched up fabric like blankets :3 if shes really into it she'll put her face real close to the blanket like this
Pretty accuate capture of Creampuffs face, including her brown eye goopies. She was very squinty as an outside kitty, but after being indoors for a little bit her eyes opened up a lot more. For a little while her eye goop flared up so I would wipe her eyes clean every day, which she did Not Like, but theyre better now (July 28th)
I was a little dissappointed Creampuff did not sit on me like my cousin's cat does, so I was touched the first time she ever sat on me! - June 16th
Skinny little Creampuff did not show her pregnancy until a few weeks before birth, although I began to suspect it a little earlier beacuse of her prominent nipples - June 29th - BTW cat preganacy is only 2 months
I had a hard time getting a good picture that showed how pregant Creampuff looked, which was best seen when she was standing, but she doesn't stand very still. This pic is a little exagerated though because of perspective - July 5th

I was on the toilet when I looked up to see miss Creampuff trying to look inside the bathroom through the sizable gap underneith my door. Before pregancy she could squeak her ass through that gap, which she had done the first few nights when I had her contained to my bedroom and bathroom, before trusting her with my whole home.
July 8th I came home from work to find miss Creampuff had given birth and cleaned up, producing three little kittens. As a teen mom her litter was small. I luckily had a towel in my closet since that was Creampuffs favorite place to nest. Much better than the five inch tall space above the microwave which was one place she tried to get into.
July 9th - her kittens are so tiny compared to her
July 9th - I moved the kittens to the basket in the closet, off of the crochet bag mama had them on
The tabby cali has been the most active kitten from the very beginning. here she is squeasing herself next to mamas head - July 9th

Moved the basket and some stuff to make more room for kitties, mama kept sitting on the white one. Interestingly, the babies most often end up nursing in this order, with cali near mamas face, orange in the middle, and the white one at the end. look at calis little leg on mama - July 11

Creampuff loves trying to get into drawers and cabinets, which I thought would subside once she gave birth and no longer needed to nest, having already made her nest. I was wrong. Here she is trying to get into one of my clothes drawers of my bed - July 14

bad mommy kitty!!! she jumped all the way from the table to ontop of those cabinets. I couldn't beleive it when I saw her make it from there. Of course I had to get ontop pf the table myself to get her down - July 15
came home from work one day to see no kittens in their nest in the closet. I knew mama was fixated on my drawers, so I check and sure enough there were babay kittens laying on my work scrubs - July 17

I gave up and let mama put her kittens in my drawer, moving my clothes into a different one and putting a towel down - July 19
the white boy has been the smallest and weakest baby, his legs remaining the thinnest of the three, despite not being signifigantly smaller in torso size. He was also a little slower to open his eyes and move around. not slow enough to be concerning though. Hes looked like a little white rat the whole time - July 19
with the roundest eyes, the cali baby was the first to really look like she was taking in her surroundings and aware of them. Shes been the most active and was the first to be alert - July 19

I had to take little Cheesepuff to an emergency vet after notcing he had an abcess on the back of his neck :( felt a scab while petting him, parted his fur to look, and it popped, oozing pink puss. It had swollen red to about a pea size on his neck. Called my vet and they recommened going to an animal hospital since they were booked for the next 10ish days. They got to him surpriisingly quick, lacerated his abcess to drain it, and pescribed him liquid antibiotics to consume (which he hates btw) - July 23

I took the kittens out of the drawer so they could explore my room, and well, you can't put toothpaste back in the tube. They are no longer contained by the drawer. They are very playful now that they now have the room to play, but it does appear to strain mama a little. Mama is frequently tackling the kittens, holding them down, and biting them so they hold still for her to lick them, this of course only makes them struggle more. baby cheesepuff is the most frequent victim of her attacks, but to be fair he does pester her the most - Aug 1
white baby has developed faint color to his ears and tail! he has toasted orange ears and tail! his tail even has stripes like mama, though they are difficult to see here - Aug 1
little white baby may be less rambunctious than the others, but he still plays! large gap in the photo dates since out of the drawer they are much more mobile and hard to photograph - Aug 6
even as kittens they like to sniff feet. I've noticed a lot of cats like the smell of feet for some reason. My friends cats will roll on my shoes when I visit - Aug 7

sat the kittens on my bed while my moms friend visisted, shes interested in a kitten. She like sthe little white baby, but I'm partial to him too. I want to keep at least one, but I also kinda want to keep all. Unfortunately I don't think I have enough room for litterboxes for four full grown cats. Mama alone makes a lot of shit/piss. Babies can't be on my bed regularly though because they try to get into my bed hole, and they Can fit - Aug 9
I saw cheesepuff (orange) use the littler box for the first time!! He dug a little, peed, and then covered it! Cali seemed disturbed by this however, since she had been using the litter box as a sandbox to play in, and was even eating/chewing on the litter (its natural nonclumping). Cheesepuff went to the litterbox a little later and dug quite a bit in it, just like mama ... Aug 10
its hard to photograph them playing... Unrelated but I've been trying to feed them real food since they are supposed to be weening, but they refuse to eat it :/ It was watered down wet kitten food, and I even got cat milk replacer in hopes that would be similar enough to mamas milk to interest them but, they are not interested :( Mama however is Very interested - Aug 10
